Fixing a Samsung Top Load Washer No Spin Problem

Posted on November 18, 2017 by - Tech Talk, Video Repair Tips

This video shows an emerging issue with some Samsung top load washers causing a no-spin or drive motor error code. A service bulletin on this problem just came out in October 2017.

The cause of the problem is that the wiring to the motor capacitor can break off. When the wiring breaks, it's not always obvious. A simple visual inspection can show the wires looking intact. This video shows you a common presentation of this failure.

As a bonus, I'll also show how to check error codes using the Fast Track and the service bulletin on this problem.

We teach all about troubleshooting tricky problems like this in the Core Appliance Repair Training course.
